By The Houston ISD critical shortage hiring event held on July 18 resulted in over 50 job offers being made to prospective teachers in areas of critical shortage for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.
Those areas of critical shortage included bilingual, special education, and pre-K positions, and campus principals were on hand to personally select the most outstanding candidates who attended from across the Houston area.
More than 270 candidates attended the event, and HISD Executive Director for Talent Acquisition Steven Jackson is hopeful that the next hiring on July 27 will be as successful.
That event will be held from 9 a.m. to noon at Delmar Sport Complex. Candidates who would like to register can do so online.
