HISD Will Host Open Houses At Its Sunrise Centers

Houston ISD is currently organizing seven open houses throughout this month at its Sunrise Centers, which are designed to assist community members dealing with social challenges.

The HISD’s sunrise centers offer mental and medical healthcare, clothing, food pantry and other services for free to community members. The open houses are scheduled to be this week in all HISD’s seven Sunrise Centers and one will be on April 11.

HISD opened its Sunrise Centers last September to better support the physical, mental and emotional well-being of students. The centers are located in high-need areas and within existing community spaces.

The centers provide free job training, enrichment activities, case management, health care, clothing and food.

To access a Sunrise Center, you can visit the center nearest you or fill out a form to connect with the center team.

In addition, you may contact your campus wraparound specialist, counselor, teacher, or nurse for assistance.
