HISD’s Emotional Support Dog Visits River Oaks Elementary

At Houston Independent School District (HISD), we cherish every opportunity to enhance our students’ experiences and well-being. Today was one such day at River Oaks Elementary as we welcomed Justice, our beloved emotional support canine, for a delightful visit!

Justice, the two-year-old bernedoodle and the heart of our PAWS (Police Animal Wellness Services) program, trotted around campus, spreading joy and warmth wherever she went. Her presence in several classrooms sparked curiosity and enthusiasm among students, who eagerly asked questions and engaged with Justice in meaningful ways.

Witnessing our students’ genuine excitement and connection with Justice reaffirms the positive impact of emotional support animals in educational settings. It’s moments like these that remind us of the importance of fostering a supportive and inclusive environment for every member of our school community.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone at River Oaks Elementary for embracing Justice with open arms and creating a memorable experience for our students. Justice’s visit today was a testament to the power of companionship, empathy, and connection in promoting student well-being and academic success.

Stay tuned for more updates and heartwarming stories from Justice’s adventures in spreading joy and positivity across HISD!
