Teachers, you are engaged in the most important work of our time. Thank you for all that you do.
As we head into Teacher Appreciation Week May 6-10, we celebrate the unique brilliance of our teachers who make the world a better place, one student at a time. We join the National Parent Teacher Association and recognize the bright light of each teacher in HISD.
During this Teacher Appreciation Week, please take a moment to:
- Send your teachers heartfelt letters, cards, and messages of appreciation
- Create artwork, poems, and video messages to celebrate your teachers
- Post on social media using the hashtag #ThankHISDTeachers and tag @HoustonISD and @TeamHISD
Don’t forget to cast your vote for Fan Favorite Educator of the Year! Voting is open Monday, May 6, through Sunday, May 12. Winners will be announced at the Educators of the Year celebration on Friday, May 17.
