Carnegie Vanguard Student Naomi Alade Wins Gold at Taekwondo Luxembourg Open

On June 9th, Carnegie Vanguard High School’s very own Naomi Alade showcased her exceptional talent and dedication by competing in the 2024 Taekwondo Luxembourg Open held in Luxembourg. Naomi triumphed in the Senior Female +73 kg category, bringing home a prestigious gold medal.

This international tournament featured athletes from all over the world, including many who will be competing in the 2024 Paris Olympics. Naomi’s outstanding performance amidst such elite competition is a testament to her hard work, discipline, and skill in taekwondo.

Congratulations to Naomi Alade on this remarkable achievement! Her success not only brings pride to Carnegie Vanguard High School but also serves as an inspiration to all HISD students. We look forward to celebrating more of Naomi’s accomplishments in the future.
