Celebrating HISD Milby High School Graduate Idaly Barajas

Milby High School graduate Idaly Barajas has set her sights on an exciting future. After her remarkable achievements over the past four years, Idaly will be heading to Dartmouth College, where she plans to double major in environmental studies and quantitative social science.

Reflecting on her journey, Idaly shared: “In 2035 I’ll be back here in Houston, I’ll be a data scientist, and I’ll be working close to home. My teachers at Melby were the ones that helped me get to where I am and helped me develop a great work ethic that I could display to those colleagues.”

Idaly’s dedication and hard work have set her on a path to success, and her goal of becoming a data scientist and returning to Houston to work close to home is truly inspiring. We are incredibly proud of Idaly’s accomplishments and look forward to seeing her impact the world.
