The Houston ISD school board heard more reporting on student test scores analysis from Dr. Doris Delaney, Texas Education Agency conservator for HISD.
Delaney presented the Texas Education Agency final analysis of the district’s STAAR tests for grades 3-8 at the June 27 board meeting.
The data shows HISD students’ scores by anywhere from +1 to +5 when compared to other urban districts in Texas in mathematics, reading, science and social studies
Superintendent Mike Miles and Chief Academic Officer Kristen Hole gave some additional analysis by demographic groups in the district’s student population and New Education System versus non-NES schools.
