HISD to Host Additional MWBE Bond Events Aug. 13 and 15

Houston ISD is hosting two bond-related workshops for Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprises (M/WBE) on Aug. 13 and 15 in anticipation of potential bond projects.

The proposed bond program includes $4.4B in updates to school infrastructure throughout the district.

RSVP for Aug. 13 at Black Middle School, 9-11 a.m.
RSVP Aug. 15 at Nutrition Services Administration, 2-4 p.m.

The district hopes to have significant MWBE participation in the projects proposed in the 2024 bond plan and has set a goal of 30 percent for contracts over $50,000.

HISD is also scheduling subcontractor events to inform the community about procurement opportunities.
