
The Westside High School Boys Water Polo Team has earned the distinction of being named HISD’s Team of the Month, and for good reason. The team made history this season by advancing to the Regional State Championship, marking a first for Houston Independent School District (HISD).

Team members shared their excitement and pride in reaching this historic milestone, highlighting the collective effort that propelled them to success.
“It feels great, we have been working for four years. Practices all in the morning, working games after school, tournaments. We put a lot of work into it, it feels great to be recognized,” said Kian Jaleel-Khan, member of the water polo team.
Westside High’s Boys Water Polo Team has set a new standard, inspiring other student-athletes across the district to aim high.
