The Saturday Academy aims to enhance students’ understanding and performance in their respective courses. Participants will engage in workshops and activities tailored to the rigorous curricula of AP, IB, and OnRamps programs.
OnRamps is an initiative by The University of Texas at Austin that offers dual-enrollment courses to high school students. The program provides college-level coursework and experiences, allowing students to earn both high school and college credits simultaneously. OnRamps courses are designed to prepare students for the challenges of postsecondary education by fostering critical thinking, academic writing, and problem-solving skills.
By participating in the Saturday Academy, students have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge, receive personalized support, and connect with peers who are also committed to academic excellence. This event underscores HISD’s dedication to providing students with the tools and resources necessary for success in higher education.
For more information about the Saturday Academy or the OnRamps program, students and parents are encouraged to reach out to their school’s AP, IB, or OnRamps coordinator.
This initiative is part of HISD’s ongoing efforts to prepare students for postsecondary success by offering additional academic resources and support outside of regular school hours.
