Houston ISD will hold a board workshop to further discuss the “Renew HISD” bond proposal on July 16 at 4 p.m.
The board must approve the $4.4 billion bond proposal before August 18th for it to appear on the November ballot.
If the bond is approved, it would mark the first time since 2012 since bond funding was made available to the district for its schools, many of which are in dire need of repairs, rebuilding and other infrastructure improvements.
The workshop meeting will take place at the Hattie Mae White Educational Support Center located at 4400 West 18th St., and is open to the public in accordance with state law.
