District officials report that over 60 job offers were made at the June 29 hiring fair at Delmar Sport Complex, including 52 teachers for the upcoming 2024-25 school year.
Houston ISD held the event to hire for critical positions including Bilingual, Special Education, ESL, and Pre-K teaching positions.
Executive Director of Talent Acquisition for HISD, Steven Paul Jackson, said that campus principals were on hand to select candidates from more than 100 participants from across the Houston area.
The HISD Talent Acquisition Team will host the next hiring event July 10 from noon–3 p.m. at Delmar Fieldhouse located at 2020 Mangum Road.
