HISD Partners Provide Telehealth Services And Activities For Students Over Winter Break

This winter break, Houston ISD (HISD) students can enjoy free telehealth services and engaging programs thanks to partnerships with YMCA Houston, Children’s Museum Houston, and Hazel Health. These organizations are working together to ensure students remain healthy, active, and entertained during the holiday season.

Hazel Health offers free telehealth appointments for students, providing accessible healthcare solutions while schools are closed. Meanwhile, YMCA Houston and Children’s Museum Houston are hosting fun and educational activities to keep young minds engaged throughout the break.

“During winter break, especially since it’s a little longer. I think it’s harder to keep kids engaged. Because it is really easy to get on your screen and get really focused on that when you are not in school,” said Danni Dancer, Director of Program Development at Children’s Museum of Houston. “So luckily, at the Museum we are open seven days a week during winter break and we have a lot of special programming happening for our families during that time.”
