HISD Students Attend Tapia STEM Camp At Rice University

This past Sunday, HISD proudly sent 65 Emergent Bilingual students to Rice University for the Tapia STEM Camp. This incredible opportunity allows our students to immerse themselves in the world of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics while experiencing college life firsthand.

For the duration of the camp, students will live in the dormitories and attend classes in the university’s state-of-the-art facilities. Food and lodging are provided, ensuring that our campers can focus on their learning and enjoy their time on campus.

The Tapia STEM Camp offers a unique blend of academic instruction and summer fun, fostering a love for STEM subjects and helping students envision their futures in these exciting fields. We are excited to see our students thrive and make the most of this enriching experience.
